News from the Principal
Dear Stratton families:
This is the time of year that faculty and I are engaged in year-end reflections and goal setting. Many faculty have expressed how they feel that we have really ‘gotten traction’ on the overall aim of developing a school community that values high quality learning conversations. This is our focus among students, and between students and faculty. I notice that these conversations are best in person, and deepen over time. Online environments have certainly helped us to connect as well. We have a norm among faculty to connect in person if there is any topic that has any challenging feelings connected to it. This has helped enormously to built and maintain trust and support. I would encourage families likewise to connect in person with me or teachers in similar circumstances, especially as the end of the year is such a rich time for reflection. We are always on the journey to become a more effective learning community, and enjoy partnering with Stratton families so much to make the learning lives of the children as good as we can make it!
News from the PTO
From the Co-Presidents
June is here already! As we head toward the end of the school year, every week is full of excitement. This week, we are all looking forward to Stratton Art Night on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30pm. Every student will have art on display, and there will be art making activities for the whole family. Huge thanks to our wonderful art teachers, Deb Campagna and Melody Wolfe Thomas, for hosting our community.
Here are some highlights from special events at Stratton last week: from Kindergartners presenting to their parents and teachers, to authors and scholars presenting to our students.
Mrs. Gigliotti’s K1 did an amazing job with their year-long expeditionary learning project. Letters are everywhere!
Our fourth and fifth graders got to meet and learn from author and illustrator Mark Parisi, inventor of Marty Pants! Thanks to Janine Duffy and our enrichment chairs for bringing this terrific experience to our students.
Thanks everyone, for making these amazing Stratton experiences possible!

Stratton Events and Volunteer Opportunities
Stratton Green Team Club Meeting
Friday, June 8, 2:30-3:30pm
We will focus on the the garden, planting butterfly weeds generously donated by the Dallin Green Team to create an inviting habitat for pollinators. All students are welcome to participate to learn more about these plants, the butterflies and other pollinators who visit them, and help grow the Stratton garden! Parents volunteers are also welcome. If your kids want to participate and are typically at A Place to Grow on Fridays, please inform Jen Motherway beforehand that they will be arriving late because of the Green Team Club, and they can be picked up afterwards to be escorted back to APTG.
Any questions, please email email@example.com
